A group of 26 students of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam along with their two professors visited today the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The students are in a several-day study visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina within which they wanted to learn first-hand about the results of the work of the Court of BIH, particularly Section I for War Crimes and about the contribution of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the process of reconciliation.

During the visit to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the students had an opportunity to talk representatives of the Legal Department, Witness Support Section and Public Information and Outreach Section.  The guests had expressed a great interest by asking numerous question, particdularly about the Section I for War Crimes and they also watched a video insert of the examination of a witness with protective measures before the Section I for War Crimes.

The coordinator of the group Pauline Pfaff expressed a great gratitude for the organization of the visit and commended the quality of presentations and discussion to the topic of war crimes processing.

At the end of the visit, the students were encouraged to learn about the Court’s daily activities on its official web site.
